5G Rollout

Overview

Telecommunications is India’s fastest-growing sector. India’s telecom business is the world’s second biggest, with more than 1 billion cellular users and 800 million Internet subscribers. Low-cost rates, expanded internet access, introduction of mobile number portability (MNP), extension of 3G and 4G coverage, changes in customer consumption habits, and a favourable regulatory environment have all contributed to the industry’s exponential growth in recent years.
5G is a next-generation wireless communication standard that connects devices, machines, businesses, and people. While 4G networks were designed largely for phone usage, 5G networks are designed to be considerably more versatile, obviating the need for several specialised networks. They can even function as several different networks at the same time.
Automation, cloudification, and virtualization will hasten 5G adoption throughout the industry transformation value chain. At Parity, we see this shift as a driver for new business models and opportunities across a wide range of industries.
